The Victorian novel as a historical source

Abstract

In the bachelor's thesis, a study of the literature of the Victorian period was carried out, with the aim of analyzing its coverage of the everyday population, as well as such social issues as class inequality, the position of women and children, living in workhouses, in England 1837-1901. The issue of coverage of colonial influence on society and coverage of historical events is also revealed.
