Murals as a place of historical memory in Ukraine

Abstract

The study is devoted to determining the significance of murals as a place of historical memory in Ukraine. The paper examines the origin and main characteristics of the mural. The spread and development of the muralist movement on the territory of Ukraine is covered. The thematic variety of murals on historical subjects was studied. The paper examines murals as an object of modern collective memory.
