The qualification work examines the key aspects and consequences of state policy towards religion in the Soviet Union in the 1920s and 1930s. The focus is on the analysis of ideological beliefs, legislative acts, and practical actions of the Soviet government aimed at restricting and controlling religious life. The study covers the period after the October Revolution, when the authorities began to actively issue legislation and create special bodies aimed at confiscating church property, closing churches, and repressing clergy and believers.
