In the bachelor's work, the areas of activity were investigated, commonalities and differences in the views on the future of the Ukrainian nation of the Greek Catholic Church and nationalist movements in the 20th century were determined. as manifestations of the social product of the internal development of Ukrainian society. It was established that at the beginning of the 20th century a new generation of clerics - public figures, who were aware of the need to fight for the national and political sovereignty of Ukraine, are forming, have close ties with the national liberation movement - primarily with the UNDO center.
It is concluded that the attitude of the members of the GCC to various political parties and organizations was ambiguous. On the one hand, the leaders supported the actions of the nationalists, and on the other hand, they sharply condemned the terrorist acts of the Ukrainians. Nationalists supported the church not because of faith in God, but because of the authority of the institution. Using its influence and perception of it as part of the Ukrainian tradition.
