The Change of the Image of War under the Influence of Information Technologies

Abstract

In the qualification (bachelor's) thesis, the role of information technologies in defining the modern image of war, particularly during military conflicts, is investigated. The unprecedented impact of information technologies on the nature of warfare, the formation of public opinion, and the overall image of war is demonstrated, which became especially relevant during the full-scale Russian military aggression in 2022. It is established that the Russian Federation actively uses psychological operations and disinformation as part of "hybrid" warfare. The influence of modern information technologies on the perception of war is analyzed. An algorithm for forming a modern image of war in the mind of the information person is created.
